How To Win Your Friends For Christ

We all have friends in our lives. A friend is someone you love and who loves you, someone you respect and who respects you, someone whom you trust and who trusts you. Every adult human being has at least one person in his or her life he/she can call a friend.

As Christians, we have friends, some of which are Christians and some of which are not Christians. Those friends who are not born again, what are we doing to win them for Christ? We chat with them, we joke with them, we hang out with them, but do we talk to them about their salvation?

Our Salvation is a priority for God. God sometimes places us into people's life to win their souls for Heaven. However, most of us walk with those friends every day without even talking to them about Jesus. We owe Heaven the responsibility of winning our lost friends for Jesus. So how do we do this?

1. PREACH TO THEM

One of the most effective ways of winning the souls of our friends for God is to tell them about Gospel of Christ. Telling people about Jesus is a commandment from Jesus Himself. If we believe Heaven and Hell exists, then we need to warn our friends who are not born again about the dangers of Hell fire. Telling people about the dangers of hell isn't judging them, it is loving them.

2. LEAD BY EXAMPLE

One of the reasons we have struggled to win our friends for Christ is because the message we preach and the lives we live are different. Most of us don't live out the Gospel. If your friends don't see Jesus Christ in your life, your sermons won't matter to them. The biggest Gospel we can preach is the life we live for God. We need to be living Bibles.

3. SHOW LOVE AT ALL TIMES

Showing love is the only way we can win our lost friends for Christ. We cannot preach the Gospel without love. When our friends are in need, we need to help if we are in the position to do so. When we show people the love of God, it brings them closer to Jesus. Love is the way to go.

Friends, we have the duty to win souls for Christ. We must start from the people around us. It might not just be out friends, but our family members too. If we love our friends, we need to win them for Christ. We need to warn them about the consequences of not being born again. God expects us to do that.
