A Purposeful Youth In Christ

A PURPOSEFUL YOUTH IN CHRIST

According to the National Youth Authority of Ghana, a youth is anyone between the ages of 15 and 35 years. The youth form the majority of any given society. In the body of Christ too the youth form the majority. The youth have always been part of God's plans.

Throughout the Bible, God used young people to achieve great things. Joseph, David, Josiah, Samuel, Daniel, Shadrack, Meshach, Abednego, Jeremiah, Mary and Timothy are only but a few of young people God used to achieve great things in the Bible. There are so many instances in the Bible to show that God is never scared of using young people to achieve His purpose.

The youth have energy, passion, desire and enthusiasm to achieve great things for the kingdom of God. In Ecclesiastes 12:1, Solomon urged us to remember our Creator in the days of our youth. The truth is, the time to serve God is now.

PURPOSE

Purpose( Noun) "is the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used"(Dictionary.com).

Purpose(Verb) is "to set as an aim, intention, or goal for oneself"(Dictionay.com).

We are created for a purpose. God designed us the way we are for a reason. God doesn't make mistakes. There is a purpose for our creation. These are the words of God to the young Jeremiah "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations" Jeremiah 1:5).

If you are a young person and you are reading this, please know that you are never too young for God to use you. God created you for a purpose and gave you talents. You need to live a life of purpose. Life is an irreplaceable gift. You can't misuse this beautiful gift God has given you. God created you for a purpose, you need to live to achieve that purpose. Do you know your purpose in life? Are you living a purposeful life?
