Breakfast With Christ - The Faith That Works

TOPIC: THE FAITH THAT WORKS SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 8:8 "The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed".

Our relationship with God is entirely based on faith. To walk with God you must have faith in Him. Unfortunately, a lot of us find it very difficult to maintain our faith in God when times get hard.

Matthew 8 records the story of how Jesus healed the servant of a centurion. One day, a centurion came to Jesus and asked the Lord to heal his sick servant. Jesus offered to go with him but the centurion refused and asked Jesus to only speak a word and his servant will be healed. The Lord was astonished by the faith of this man.

What was so special about this man's faith? He fully believed in Jesus Christ. This man completely believed in Jesus' ability to heal his servant even though he wasn't even a follower of Jesus.

The faith that works is the faith that believes in God irrespective of the circumstances. Faith isn't about how you feel, faith isn't about what you see. Faith isn't about what others are saying. Faith is to have an undying trust in God.

If only you can believe in the impossible, God will do the impossible for you. It is that simple. It doesn't matter how bad your situation is, you must believe that God is able to turn your situations around. That's faith.

Doubt and fear are the enemies of faith. You must believe and not doubt. There is nothing impossible with God. Just believe. Believe in God. Miracles are based on faith.
