BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: SERVING GOD IN THE WILDERNESS II SCRIPTURE: 2 TIMOTHY 2:3 "Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ."
This is the second part of our mini series on how to serve God in the midst of difficulties. It is never easy to serve God faithfully when you are going through challenges. The Christian life isn't just a walk in the park. It is very difficult.
Unfortunately, a lot of us have become fair-weather Christians who only serve God faithfully when things seem fine with us. We give up when the storms rise. Let's look at how we can serve God faithfully even in the midst of the storm.
1. KEEP YOUR FOCUS ON GOD It is easy to get distracted and frustrated when you are going your wilderness. Our focus must always be on God. Focusing on God during our wilderness moments increase our faith and trust in God.
2. GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU When experiencing a wilderness moment, we must always remember that God is always with us. God doesn't leave us simply because we are in the wilderness. He might seem silent sometimes, but God's silence doesn't mean He is absent. You are never alone, God is always with you.
3. FAITH OVER FEARS It is so easy to lose faith in God when you are in the wilderness. When faith is down, then fear grows. We must always understand that there is nothing beyond God. Our faith must exceed our fears. God is able to deliver you from every wilderness you may find yourself in.
For every trouble you may be going through now, I pray the Lord gives you joy and peace. May the Lord deliver you from that trouble. Don't give up. Keep trusting God. He will do it for you.
