Breakfast With Christ - While It Is Day
BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: WHILE IT IS DAY SCRIPTURE: JOHN 9:4 "I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work"
In John 9:4, Jesus spoke about working while it is day because the night is coming when He can't work. Was Jesus saying we can't do God's work at night? NO. Jesus was in this scripture telling us to do God's work while we still can. A time is coming when we can't do what we can do now. Our time on earth is limited.
For each day that God gives us the breath of life, He is giving us the opportunity to do His work whilst we still can. Doing God's work must be our top most priority. We need to get serious with God whilst we still can. There is no much time.
For those of us who keep postponing God's work so that we can focus on our personal businesses, God is saying we must do His work while it is still day. We must treat God's work with all the seriousness it deserves.
A time is coming when we can't do what we can do today. If you have breath today, please don't waste the opportunity to serve God. Seek Jesus Christ whilst you still can. Get serious with God whilst you still can. Get born again whilst you still can. Please repent whilst you still can.
If you are still postponing your salvation, God is telling you today to get saved whilst it is still day. A time is coming when you will seek Christ but you won't find Him. In that day, when you move on from this temporal world into Eternity, you won't have the chance to repent. Please repent whilst you still have breath.
Jesus was aware of the shortness of life when He made that statement in John 9:4. We simply don't have enough time on earth to continue being unserious with God. Procrastination isn't only the thief of time, it is also the enemy of progress. Let us get serious with God whilst we still can.
Whatever you want to do for God, this is the time. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. You must work while it is day. Enough of the procrastination. Please start getting serious with God now. Let us remember, we will one day give account to God for our work on earth. There is no time to waste. Let's do God's work whilst we still can.
