TOPIC: THE LIFE GOD USES SCRIPTURE: 2 TIMOTHY 2:20-21 "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.

Therefore if anyone sanctifies himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work"

Welcome to BWC. Most of us desire to be used by God. What must we do to be used by God? In Paul's letter to the young Timothy, Paul tells us what we need to do in order for us to be useful to God. We need to be sanctified.

SANCTIFICATION To be sanctified is to be set apart for God's use. The Greek word translated "sanctification" is "hagiasmos" which means "holiness." To be sanctified is to be holy. God can not use us if our lives are not sanctified for His use. The truth is God cannot use us if we are living in sin.

The life that God uses is the life that has be cleansed from the filth(sin) of this world. In other words, for God to use you, you must be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. You must forsake your sins and be born again. God cannot use a sinful life.

The life God uses is the life that has been completely set apart from this world and only lives for God. God cannot use us if we continue to entangle ourselves with the carnal attractions of this world. God wants His servants to be holy and righteous.

The life that God uses is the life that hates sin and is totally obedient to the Word of God. Obviously, God cannot use us if we continue to disobey His Word. A good servant must be obedient to his/her Master. An obedient life is a life that pleases God.

If you desire for God to use you, then you must purify yourself of all sins and be sanctified for the Lord's use. You must separate yourself from the sins of this world and be faithful to God. You must live to please God alone. You must live for God. Are you ready to be used by God?
