BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: DENYING CHRIST SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 10:33 "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven".
Welcome to BWC. The words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 10:33 should be a wake up call for all of us. There are basically two ways we can deny Jesus Christ in our lives: through our words and through our deeds.
To deny Jesus Christ verbally is to reject the Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life. Anyone who declares that Jesus Christ isn't the Son of God and the Savior of the world has denied Jesus Christ. Such a person will also be denied by Christ on the judgement day.
The commonest way we deny Jesus Christ every day is when we live in sin. When we live in continuous sin, we are directly denying Jesus Christ. A sinful life is a direct denial of the Cross of Jesus Christ. If we continue in our sins without repentance, the Lord will also deny us one day.
"They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him..."TITUS 1:16. There are lot of us who declare to be Christians but our deeds and actions are anti-Christian. We know the Gospel of Christ but we live in disobedience. We go to church but our lives remain sinful. We are denying our Lord with our deeds.
If our lives as Christians do not reflect Jesus Christ, then we are denying Jesus Christ. If we are still attached to the sinful pleasures of this world, then we are denying Jesus Christ. We must be set apart from the sins of this world and be Holy unto God, if we are not doing this, then we are denying our Lord.
Let's all look into our lives today and see if our lives reflect Jesus Christ. Let's do a reality check to see if there are any hidden sins in our hearts. Let's duly repent from all ungodliness and worldliness and be Holy unto our Lord. May the Lord give us the Grace to live for Him.
PRAYER LINE Lord, please I am sorry if I have been denying you through my deeds. Please forgive me. Amen.
