BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: HOW CLEAN IS GOD'S TEMPLE? SCRIPTURE: 1 CORINTHIANS 6:18-20
"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?"
"For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's"
Welcome to BWC. In the days of old, God dwelt in temples made with human hands. But today, our bodies are the temples of the Living God. Since God cannot dwell in filth and sin, it is important we keep our bodies clean for Him.
In his letter to the church at Corinth, Apostle Paul was clear on what we must do to keep God's temple clean. We must flee from sexual sin. Unfortunately, sexual sin has become very normal in our world today. There are several scriptures which advise believers against sexual immorality.
Sexual sins include illicit sex(fornication and adultery), pornography, masturbation and homosexuality. The truth is a Christian who is following Christ must at all cost abstain from all sexual acts outside marriage. This is one instruction from the Bible that we don't take seriously.
Every believer was bought at a price. We don't belong to ourselves. Our bodies are for God. We must glorify God with our bodies. Christianity is not only in the heart. What we do with our bodies is extremely important to God. We don't own ourselves. We belong to God.
How clean is God's temple, which is your body? God won't dwell in us if we are not keeping His temple clean. God cannot dwell in sin. Let's look into our lives and repent from every sexual sin as well as all other sins.
