BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: THE FOURTH MAN SCRIPTURE: DANIEL 3:25 "Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

Once upon a time, King Nebuchadnezzar ordered all his subjects to bow down to an image and worship it. Three Hebrew boys; Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego refused to bow down. The king got angry and threw them into a burning furnace. Let's look at some lessons we can pick from this story.

A STAND FOR GOD This story is lesson on how to trust God even at the point of death. Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego refused to bow to the king even at the expense of their lives. They took a stand for God in the midst of evil.

Our world today is full of darkness, sin and evil. God is looking for those believers who will take a stand for holiness. Those who will refuse to be contaminated by the sins of this world. Are you ready to take a firm stand for God?

GOD NEVER EVER DISAPPOINTS. The three guys took a firm stand for God and God didn't fail them. They stood by their belief in God. They refused to bow to sin. They passed the test of faithfulness and God saved them from the fire. Anytime, we stand for God and trust Him, He will never fail us. God doesn't fail.

THE FOURTH MAN When the three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fire, many people would have been wondering why their God didn't save them. But God had a plan. He is always on time. The Lord appeared in the fire and delivered them.

The truth is God is always working for us. Even when it looked like all hope is gone, God never abandons us. He always shows up. God is that invincible fourth man who is always working behind the scenes for us. He may be silent sometimes but He is never absent. We must learn to trust God.
