TOPIC: LITTLE DISTRACTIONS SCRIPTURE: 1 CORINTHIANS 7:35 "I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible".

Welcome to BWC. Are you being distracted from serving God? There are lots of things in this world that are distracting us from focusing on God. Remaining focused on God is very important.

In Matthew 14, Peter was walking on water to go and meet Jesus. Every thing looked fine until Peter got distracted by the things around him and began to sink. Any time we allow the things happening around us to distract our focus from God, we begin to sink. To stand firm in this world, it is very important we stay focused on God.

Distractions keeps us from praying regularly, distractions keep us from having faith in God. Distractions keep us from the blessings of God. Don't allow the challenges you go through to distract your focus from God. God is bigger than all your challenges.

Interestingly, the things that distract us most often are the little issues of life. For some of us, it is our addiction to technology. We spend too much time on social media instead of spending that time with God. Simple things like our television, mobile phones and computers distract us from God.

Many of us have become addicted to our phones, televisions and laptops at the expense of God. We don't even spend enough time before God in prayer every day anymore. We wake up with our phones and sleep at night with our phones. Our bibles have become a minor part of our lives. These things are the little things that distract us every day from God.

God is the center of our lives. Without God, we won't go far. We need to cut down the time we spend on social media and watching TV and spend enough time every day with our Maker. Don't be distracted by the little things in this world. Don't allow friends to distract you from God. Let your focus be on God.

Don't be distracted by the forces of this world. Keep your focus on God. Make time for God every day. God is your only chance of survival in this world. Stay blessed.
