Breakfast With Christ - The Merciful Saviour

BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: THE MERCIFUL SAVIOUR SCRIPTURE: LUKE 23:42-43 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. ” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

God is merciful no doubt about this. Even in our unfaithfulness, He is still faithful to us. Even in our weaknesses, He is still merciful to us. On the Cross, Jesus showed how merciful He is by saving a criminal who was facing certain death.

God doesn't want us to sin. But if we do fall to sin, God makes a way of return for us. That way is repentance. Every child of God must possess a repentant heart. The only thing worse than a sin is to refuse to repent from the sin.

When we sin, we must be quick to repent and return to our Lord. He is merciful,He will forgive. When we allow sin to develop roots in our hearts, it bears fruits of death. Not just physical death but spiritual death.

Never allow sin to separate you from God. Never dwell in unrepentant sin. Don't allow the guilt of sin keep you in that sin. God is merciful. He is ever ready to forgive you if only you will genuinely repent from that sin.

Repentance isn't about asking for forgiveness and going back to that same sin again. Repentance is about asking for forgiveness and turning away from that sin. Until you forsake that sin, you haven't repented from it.

Perhaps you don't want to even come to Jesus because you feel your sins are too many. If Jesus could forgive a harden criminal who was about to die, then your sins are never too many for God. He is merciful, just come to Him. He will forgive you.

Please don't hesitate, come to Jesus. His blood will wash you clean from every sin you have ever committed. God doesn't hate you. He loves you so much. He is ready to forgive you. Just come to Him with a repentant heart. God is merciful.
