BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: THE RETURN OF THE KING OF KINGS SCRIPTURE: 1 THESSALONIANS 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first".

JESUS IS COMING SOON. Unfortunately, this is a message that has become a cliche on earth. A lot of people don't believe it and those who have believed it have almost taken it for granted. But the King of kings shall return.

Jesus Christ's first mission on earth was to save us from our sins. His second return will however be different. He first came as a Saviour but this time He shall return as the righteous Judge who will rightly judge us. He will reward and punish accordingly.

SO WHY THE DELAY? One reason a lot of believers have grown cold in their faith is because they believe Jesus Christ is delaying His return. This has caused doubt in the minds of many people. But is the Lord truly delaying?

Thankfully, 2 Peter 3:9 has the answer for us: "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance".

WHAT MUST WE DO? Instead of asking when the Lord will return, let's focus on being ready when He returns. The Lord shall definitely return any moment from now. But are we ready? Are you ready? How prepared are you for the return of the King of kings?

Remember, when that day comes, there won't be time to be ready. You must prepare now. Let's therefore put off the clothe of sin and disobedience and walk in holiness and godliness. You must be ready when the Lord returns.

Another reason we must always be ready is that we don't know when we will die. Death is inevitable. After death, we shall stand before the Lord in Judgement. You cannot afford to miss Heaven. Please always be ready to meet your Lord.
