BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: CHILDREN OF THE LIGHT SCRIPTURE: 1 JOHN 1:5-7 "5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Welcome to BWC. God is light. Outside of God, all there is in this world is darkness. The world is full of wickedness, sin and evil. As Christians, we are the children of God. As such, we must walk in the light of God.

We cannot walk with God and still participate in the darkness of this world. We must walk according to the light of Christ. Our character and lifestyle must reflect the light of God.

To walk in the light of God, we must walk in obedience to the Word of God. We must walk in righteousness and holiness. We must avoid anything that has to do with darkness.

To walk in the light of God, we must surround ourselves with people who are also walking in the light. Light and darkness have no fellowship. It is very difficult to obey God when you are surrounded by people who disobey God daily.

Let us eschew every work of darkness and walk in the light of Christ. Our lives must reflect the light of God in us. We are children of the light. Our lives must be examples to others.
