TOPIC: BE PATIENT WITH GOD SCRIPTURE: HABAKKUK 2:3 "For the revelation pertains to an appointed time— it speaks truthfully about the end. Though it delays, wait for it, because it will surely come about— it will not be late!"

Welcome to BWC. Have you ever asked yourself how long you would have to wait for God to answer your prayers? Have you ever felt God delays in answering your prayers? Our scripture for today is an excerpt from a conversation God had with the Prophet Habakkuk concerning a vision He gave him.

One thing we can learn from this scripture is that God's promises have an appointed time to materialize. That time is not a human time but God's own divine time. God is an omnipotent Being who lives outside of human timing.

The thing is God doesn't operate with human timing. Everything He does is according to His divine timing. In Genesis 12, God called Abram and promised to make him the father of many nations. Abram was seventy-five years and childless at that time. It however took about twenty-five years for this promise to come to pass, Abraham was hundred years old. Along the way, Abraham and Sarah felt God was delaying.

In John 11, Jesus was told that Lazarus was sick. Jesus waited for a while before going there. When He got there, Lazarus was already buried. Everyone thought Jesus had delayed, but He didn't delay. He was just operating by His divine timing which was superior to human timing.

Yes, God has promised to heal you, but He didn't tell you 'when', so wait for Him. His timing is different from yours. He will surely honour His promise. God does everything He does at His own time. We may be expecting God to answer our prayers today, but that may not be God's time.

Instead of worrying, let us learn to trust God's timing for our lives. God knows everything. He has a plan and a timing for our lives. God doesn't delay. He is always on time. Whatever God has promised us in His word, He will accomplish it at His own time. Wait on the Lord. He never fails.

"Wait patiently for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the LORD." Psalm 27:4
