Breakfast With Christ - Keep On Praying

BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: KEEP ON PRAYING SCRIPTURE: LUKE 18:1-8

Luke 18 records Jesus's parable of the poor widow and the wicked judge. There was a poor widow who kept bothering a judge to grant her justice over her enemies. The judge kept on refusing but the poor woman was persistent in her request. At the end, the judge gave in to her request because of her persistency.

Jesus gave this parable to illustrate one point; we must be persistent in prayer. A lot of us don't get answers to our prayers because we are not consistent with our prayers. We only pray for few days and when nothing changes, we stop praying.

To achieve daily victories in life, we need to be persistent in our prayer life. We must pray without ceasing( 1 THESSA 5:17). One thing you should never get tired of is praying. There is an immense power in prayer.

When you pray for a long time and you don't seem to get an answer, don't stop praying. Don't grow weary in prayer, keep on praying. God will answer you at His own time. Delay is not denial.

Don't pray in doubt. When you pray, have faith that it will be answered. Trust in God. Be patient with Him and keep on praying. Have a consistent prayer life. Your prayers achieve more than you can see. Don't relax. Always pray.

Today, I want to encourage you to go back on your knees before God. Whatever you have been asking God all this while, don't grow tired and stop.

Keep praying. Don't let the devil deceive you that God isn't listening to you, God hears you when you pray. He will show up in your life soon. Just keep praying and believing.
