Breakfast With Christ - How To Rise From A Fall

BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: HOW TO RISE FROM A FALL SCRIPTURE: 1 JOHN 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness".

Welcome to BWC. How do you rise when you fall? Many a time, when we fall into sin, we find it very difficult to rise again. Yet, rising from a fall is very important if we are to maintain our relationship with God.

DO NOT DWELL IN GUILT When we fall into sin, many a time, we feel so guilty that we even forget to repent. One thing we need to remember is that none of us is an angel. We are mortal humans and we are very fallible. We are prone to mistakes.

BE QUICK TO REPENT When you sin, please don't allow guilt and self pity to keep you in the sin. Don't be ashamed to return to God. God is a merciful God, He is always ready to forgive those who repent genuinely. When you sin, be quick to repent and return to the Lord.

CUT OFF BANANA PEELS Banana peels are the things or the people who easily influence you to fall into sin. After you repent and return to God, you must cut off all the things or the people around you who influence you to sin. This is very important.

If you don't deal with the banana peels around you, you are likely to fall again. If it is a friend/lover who is constantly influencing you to sin, be bold and cut him/her off. Don't allow a mere human being take you away from God.

DEPEND ON GOD There is nothing we can without God. To walk in holiness and godliness, you must depend totally on the guidance of the Spirit of God. Only God gives us the Grace to live for Him. Don't depend on your own strength or spirituality. Allow God to lead you.

If for any reason you have fallen into a sin, please get up and return to the Lord today. Just repent and ask for forgiveness. Jesus is faithful, Jesus will forgive you and save you.
