BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: ALLOW GOD TO WORK ON YOU
SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 64:8
"But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand."
Welcome to BWC. It is often said that to become a better person, you must work on yourself. This is true to some extent. But the whole truth is that you cannot work on yourself until God has worked on you. A clay does not mould itself.
Just as a clay is in the hands of a potter so are we in the hands of God. To become the person God wants you to be, you must allow God to work on you. Being a Christian doesn't mean you are automatically perfect.
Our walk with God is a journey. A journey where God expects us to grow. Unfortunately, there are so many of us that have static or retrogressive Christian lives. We are stuck in the same old state and with the same old habits because we haven't allowed God to work on us.
The goal of Christianity is to become more like Jesus Christ each day. To do this, you must allow God to work on your character, your habits and your relationships. You must allow God to mould you into what He wants.
You must surrender your life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and allow Him to change you. You cannot do it all by yourself. You need God. He created you, He can mould you into a better person.
It doesn't matter how bad your life looks, God can work on you. God can work on your broken health. He can work on your messed up relationships. God can work on your broken family. God can work on your character. Are you willing to allow Him to re-mould you?
