"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent".

Welcome to BWC. This is is the third part of our series on "Desiring God". Today we look at "Desiring eternal life".

DESIRING ETERNAL LIFE

One of the greatest truths in this world is this "no one lives forever". In everything we do, let's be conscious of this truth. Life on earth is temporary. Our existence here has an expiry date. We all pray for long life on earth but even a long life will eventually end.

The truth however is that human life doesn't end at death. The Human life was not made to end. Death is only a separation between our physical bodies and our souls. When our physical bodies return to the ground, our souls enter into the eternal world.

As believers in the Lord, we must desire eternal life in Heaven where our Lord is. Heaven is our home. We are just passing through this world. We must live with the aim of making it to Heaven one day. We must be Heavenly conscious.

We must not only desire eternal life. We must work towards having eternal life. How do we do this? We must believe in Jesus Christ. We must surrender our lives to Lord completely. We must live for God.

We cannot have eternal life if we continue living in sin. Sin will take us to Hell. To desire eternal life is to desire a Godly and a Holy life. Eternity is forever, don't miss Heaven. Truth is, if you miss Heaven, you won't miss hell. You must live for Jesus Christ.
