GAMES HUMANS PLAY WITH GOD

It is difficult to imagine a man playing games with the Supreme Being, but that is exactly what some of us do. Today, we look at five games humans play with the Almighty God.

1. FALSE REPENTANCE

Repentance simply means "to change" or a "turn around". To repent from sin is to turn away from our sins. Unfortunately, what some of us do is to only ask God to forgive us of our sins. We have no intention of changing. We still continue in the same sins. Asking God for forgiveness isn't the same as repentance. False repentance is a dangerous game to play with God.

2. HYPOCRISY

It is so easy to be a hypocritical Christian. A hypocritical Christian is a Christian who appears to be sanctimonious, holy and highly moral in public but in privacy, the person is nothing close to being holy. A hypocritical Christian harbours a secret sin. This is a dangerous game to play with God. God sees everything we do. We can pretend before humans but God knows the true state of our hearts.

3. FALSE SPIRITUALITY

A lot of us just go to church services without having any relationship with Jesus Christ. Some people just pray to gain admiration from others. Some people even go to the extent of rehearsing "powerful" prayer lines before they go to church. True spirituality is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We cannot pretend to be christians when our lifestyle isn't Christ-like. Several hours of praying or speaking in tongues don't make us Christians. Being obedient to God's Word and living like Jesus are what make us Christians. False spirituality is a dangerous game to play with God.

4. ABUSING GOD'S GRACE

God is gracious. He is merciful. He forgives sins. But that doesn't mean we can take His Grace for granted. Unfortunately, some of us take God's Grace for granted. We sin deliberately because we think God will forgive us anyway. This is a false application of the gospel of Grace. Taking God's Grace for granted is a dangerous game to play with God.

5. POSTPONING SALVATION

This is perhaps the most dangerous game people play wit God. Since we don't know the hour God will call us from this earth, it is very dangerous to postpone our salvation. Salvation is not a thing to be postponed. Sadly, that's what some of us do. We give our own salvation timetable to God. Until you can control your own heartbeat and breath, never postpone your salvation. It is a very dangerous game to play.

Please if you are playing any of the above games with God, kindly repent genuinely and ask God for Mercy. It is very dangerous when a man decides to play games with God.
