Breakfast With Christ - Who Are You?

BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: WHO ARE YOU?

SCRIPTURE: JOHN 1:12

"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God"

Welcome to BWC. How will you answer the question "who are you"? Any time this question is posed, people give different answers. For us Christians, there is only one answer, we are children of God.

Being a child of God is a position of power. It is not an ordinary position. If you are a child of God, you are occupying a very privileged position. To become a child of God, you need to accept Jesus Christ into your heart and be born again by the Holy Spirit.

When you become born again, you have access to all the treasures of heaven. You are a heir of the Kingdom of God. A child of God is a citizen of heaven. As a citizen of heaven, there are privileges you must enjoy and there are duties you must fulfil.

Imagine how confident the children of Bill Gate would be. When they are in need, they don't have to worry they just have to ask their father. If you are a child of the most High God, you have a far bigger position than a child of an earthly rich man. So why do you worry? If Bill Gate, who is a mere human being can provide for his children, why can't God provide for you?

There is always that tendency for us to allow our present circumstances or mistakes to define us. The truth is, your mistakes are not your identity. Your mistakes or circumstances don't define you. You are a child of the King of kings, that is your permanent identity.

Nothing will change God's love for you. Be confident that God is able to take care of you. If you are sick, know that your Heavenly Father will heal you. You are a child of God, live as such and have faith in God. Stay blessed.
