TOPIC: COME JUST AS YOU ARE
SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 11:28
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Welcome to BWC. Today, we look at an Altar Call Jesus made in the Bible. The need for salvation has never been greater than now. It is no secret that the world is in a mess. A mess that won't end. It is therefore very important that we secure our eternal life in Heaven.
These are the words of a hymn written by Charlotte Elliot in 1835:
"Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come! I come"
Today, if you are reading this message, Jesus is calling you to come to Him. Just run to the Lord. Are you burdened? Are you tired? Are you broken? Are you sick? Jesus is calling you to Himself today. Don't hesitate, tomorrow might be too late, please run to Jesus now.
Don't feel condemned, Jesus came to save not to condemn. Don't feel rejected, you are not too dirty for God, just run to Jesus as you are. Don't hold back any longer, you need Jesus, Jesus wants you.
The truth is, if you don't get born again, you won't go to Heaven. If you miss Heaven, you won't miss Hell. Only Jesus can save you. No one else can. If you die without Jesus, they can say all the nice things at your funeral, all the Bishops can pray for your soul but you still won't get to Heaven.
Friend, the time to repent and be saved is now. There is no repentance after death. If you were once a committed Christian but you have backslided, please you need to get back to Jesus now. Church going won't save you, please get committed to Jesus now and live for Him in faithfulness. Time is running out.
