TOPIC: REMAIN IN THE RACE

SCRIPTURE: HEBREWS 12:1-2

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Welcome to BWC. Many a time, we are faced with the temptation of giving up on God when things get hard for us in the race of life. However, the times of adversity are not the times to give up on God, they are the times to look unto Jesus Christ.

There is nothing we will go through that is worse than what Jesus Christ went through on the Cross for our sake. Yet He didn't give up on us. Why are you giving up on God now? *Your situation may look impossible, but God is bigger than the impossible.

Jesus Christ suffered on the Cross, but He kept His eyes on the prize of our salvation. If you can keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, you will be able to endure anything. As long as you hold on to Jesus Christ, the storms may come but you won't sink.

All what God expects from us is for us to remain in the race He has set before us. We can only remain in this race if we keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the perfecter of our faith, He is our healer, He is our redeemer, He is our everything. We have nothing without Jesus Christ.

It may look like it is over for you. But nothing is over yet so long as you have God. He is the God who has specialized in doing the impossible. Don't give up on Him. Faith is believing in God even when it is difficult to do so. Remain in the race, keep your eyes on Jesus Christ.
