TOPIC: SOUND OF VICTORY

SCRIPTURE: JOSHUA 6:20

"When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city".

Welcome to BWC. The walls of Jericho was the last barrier that stood between the Israelites and their promised land. Joshua 6 recorded how Joshua and his people conquered the people of Jericho without even fighting. All they had to do was to obey the instructions of God.

To achieve victory in all spheres of our lives, we need to live in complete obedience to the Word of God. The Israelites won their last battle for the promise land through a simple act of obedience to God. Obedience to God is necessary for a breakthrough in life.

We cannot achieve any meaningful victory in life if we live in disobedience to the Word of God. God rewards obedience and punishes disobedience. Disobeying the Word of God is a sin. God doesn't bless sin.

The Word of God is truth. If we want to achieve victory in our businesses, our relationships, in our health and in every aspect of our lives, we need to obey the Word of God. We need to hate sin and follow righteousness. Sin has no benefits.

We cannot be children of God if we won't obey His commands. We cannot walk with God if our lives contradict His Word. We cannot call Jesus "Lord" if we don't obey His voice. Let us remember that the Israelites spent forty years in the wilderness because of disobedience.

Obedience is the mark of a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
