BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: THE EL-SHADDAI
SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 17:1b
"I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect".
Welcome to BWC. Today, we look at one of the Hebrew names for God; "El Shaddai". "EL" is a Hebrew word which means "God". "Shaddai" is also a Hebrew word which means Almighty, all powerful and all sufficiency. So "El Shaddai" means God Almighty, God all powerful or God all sufficiency.
Anytime we call on the El Shaddai, we are calling upon the Almighty and powerful God. He exist by Himself. He is the Great I am. He has no beginning and no end because He is the beginning and the end. Nothing exists outside of Him. He is the everlasting King. He is our El Shaddai.
God is our El Shaddai. He is our all powerful protector. He is more powerful than all the forces of darkness combined. If you have God, who can be against you? No weapon formed against you shall succeed when you are with the El Shaddai. Nothing can plug you out of the Hands of the El Shaddai.
We need to walk before God and be obedient to Him. Our lives need to be formed on His Word. We need to hate what God hates and love what God loves. Living for God makes us His children. God always protects His Children.
The El Shaddai is also our sufficiency. The Grace of God is sufficient for us. If you have God, you have all you need. We need to learn to totally depend on our all sufficient God. God is enough for us. He provides our needs and keeps us safe. All He needs from us is our obedience.
If the El Shaddai can't solve your problems for you, then no one can. God is all you need. Do you have this God? Then hold on to him firmly and be faithful to Him. If you don't know Him too, you can do that today. This God is only known through Jesus Christ.
Our God is the El Shaddai. Age to age He remains the same. He changeth not. He is all you need. Today, make a decision to live for Him till your last breath on earth. Stay blessed.
