TOPIC: GODLINESS IN AN UNGODLY WORLD

SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 5:16

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Welcome to BWC. After being born again, the most difficult challenge a Christian faces is how to be godly in a world full of ungodliness. The only way a believer can be godly in this world is if the believer is also not part of the ungodliness.

The Lord knew the darkness of this world when He declared the believer as the light of the world. Light only shines in darkness. The darkness in this world provides the perfect opportunity for believers to shine. We are the light of the world, it's our job to lift high the flag of Heaven. We need to shine.

Godliness in an ungodly world is only possible if a believer sets himself/herself apart from the world and consecrate himself to the Lord. We cannot defeat darkness if we are also part of the darkness. It is time for us to be true Christians. It is time for us to shine bright the light of Jesus Christ.

If you think your family is full of darkness, that's why God placed you there. You need to shine the light of Christ in that family. If you feel your workplace is full of darkness, you are the light of that place. Shine. There must be a difference between a Christian and a non Christian.

Godliness in an ungodly world is possible. The whole world is waiting for the manifestation of the children of God. Your family and your friends are waiting for you to shine. It is time to stand up and be counted for God. Let your light shine everywhere you go and let people see the Jesus in you.
