BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: FOR THE MASTER'S USE
SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 21:2-3
"saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
Welcome to BWC. One day Jesus sent His disciples into a village to bring to Him a donkey for His use. The only issue was that the donkey was tied probably to a tree. Jesus instructed them to untie or cut loose the donkey for His use.
For many of us, our greatest desire is for the Lord to use us. The issue however is that the Lord can't use you if you are still tied to a sinful life. God won't fill you with His power if you are already filled with worldliness. Light and darkness cannot exist in the same vessel. One has to go.
Do you desire to be used by God? Then you must untie yourself from any thing that is holding you back. Jesus couldn't have used the donkey if the donkey were still tied to the tree. God can't use you for His glory if you are still tied to the carnal desires of this world.
For God to use you, consecration is necessary. The first stage of consecration is genuine repentance. You must set yourself apart from the world. You can't be tied to the world and still expect God to use you for His Glory. No. You must break away from the carnal attractions of the world and be consecrated for the Master's use.
There are some friendships and relationships you need to cut loose if you want God to use you. There are some places you must stop going to. There are some things you must stop doing. You must be untied from the world and be tied to the Cross of Jesus Christ.
God saved you, not just for you to go to Heaven one day, but for Him to use you to save others. But you are still tied to the world. God has a use for you. Some people's salvation depend on your obedience. You must cut yourself loose from whatever is holding you back and allow God to use you. Stay blessed.
