TOPIC: RETURN TO THE CROSS
SCRIPTURE: REVELATION 2:4-5
"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works..."
Welcome to BWC. Have you lost your passion, zeal or hunger for the Lord? It is time to return to the Cross.
Many of us have lost the hunger and passion we had for God when we first got born again. We have lost the desire to pray, read the Bible or even go for church services. These things we used to do out of love have now become a burden on us. We need to return to the Cross and repent.
Few years ago, you used to spend so much time praying and reading God's Word. Now, you have become so busy that you hardly even spend time with God every day. You have allowed your job, your friends and the things of this world to take your love away from the Lord. You need to return to the Cross and repent.
Some of us too had the fire and the zeal to tell others about God. It used to be your priority to spread God's Word but that fire is gone now. When was the last time you told someone about Jesus Christ? Why have you allowed the cares of this world to quench your fire for God? Please return to the Cross today.
Some of us too used to pray so hard before we got our current job or before we entered into a relationship/marriage. Now, because of your job or relationship, you hardly have any time for God. Your life is now all about your job and your boyfriend/girlfriend. Why do you allow a human being to take you away from God?
Some of us have allowed the blessings of God in our lives to take us away from God. God doesn't bless us for the blessings to become our gods. Your relationship with God was stronger few years ago when you didn't have some of the blessings you have today. Now, you have ignored God. Please repent.
May be you have allowed a sinful habit to take you away from the Lord. Now, you find it easy to compromise on your holiness. You are going to places a Christian shouldn't go. You are now doing things you know a Christian shouldn't be doing. You cannot walk with God whilst holding hands with the world. Please return to the Cross today.
Please look through your life and see where you have fallen. Is your relationship with God growing? Have you become a lukewarm Christian? Do you still spend enough time with God in prayer every day? Has your passion and love for the things of God diminished?

Lord, please help me return to You. Revive my love and passion for You. Amen.
