BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: ROCK OF AGES

SCRIPTURE: PSALM 18:2

"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold".

"Rock of Ages, cleft for me,

Let me hide myself in Thee;

Let the water and the blood,

From Thy riven side which flowed,

Be of sin the double cure,

Save me from its guilt and power."

Indeed the Lord is our Rock. He is our deliverer. He is our strength when we are weak. He is our refuge from the heavy storms of life. He is our shield from all evil attacks. He is our eternal salvation. There is no hope outside God.

A rock represents stability. If the Lord is your Rock, your life will be stable. Rock represents strength, God will give you strength if He is your Rock. Rocks give protection. The Lord will protect you.

If you are weak, discouraged, brokenhearted and feeling hopeless in this world, you need the Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ. If Jesus Christ is your Rock, the storms will come but He will be your shield.

Today, I urge you to make the Lord, the rock of your life. Make Jesus Christ the foundation of your life. If your life isn't built on Jesus Christ, you will fall when the storms come. Let your hope be built on the Rock of Ages. All other grounds are sinking sands except Jesus Christ.

The Rock of Ages is our Salvation. He is our great Redeemer. He is our Deliverer. Humanity has three enemies; Satan, sin and death. All these three enemies were defeated by the Rock of Ages on the Cross. If you want to know what true peace, hope and joy is, just come to the Rock of Ages.

Our Rock of Ages is eternally sovereign. He is unbreakable, He is undefeated, He is the Lord who is strong in battle. He is the God above all gods. He doesn't fail. He is the God who has the final say. Make this God your Rock today.

Lord, thank you for being my Rock of Ages. Amen
