TOPIC: THE LONELY ROAD

SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 7:14

"But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it".

"I have decided to follow Jesus;

The world behind me, the cross before me;

As human as we are, we hate to be alone. We always want company. But if you are going to follow Jesus Christ, you need to be prepared to have little or no company. The road to eternal life is a very lonely and narrow one.

You need to be prepared to stand alone for Jesus Christ. Deciding to stand for Jesus isn't a popular decision but it is the best decision you can ever make. Whether people join you or not, you need to be prepared to stand alone. It will get very difficult but you need to continue to stand for Christ.

On the narrow road, you won't find a lot of your friends or family members there. Be prepared to stand alone. It doesn't matter who joins you or doesn't join you. You need to stand alone till the end. You won't find any comfort on this road but you need to continue to stand.

Some people start well on this narrow road but unfortunately, they fall midway through. Don't let that discourage you. You need to stand for Christ till the end. There is a glory at the end of this road. But you need to endure till then end.

May God give you the strength to stand for Him till the end. Amen.
