BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: THE WALK OF FAITH
SCRIPTURE: 1 CORINTHIANS 5:7
"For we walk by faith, not by sight".
Welcome to BWC. Our Christian walk is a walk of faith. Without faith, we cannot please God. Faith enables us to see beyond the present. We believe in God through faith. We are saved through faith. None of us has at any point in time seen God before. But we believe He exists. That's faith.
When we pray, we pray in faith and believe that God will answer us. Without faith, it is practically impossible to worship God. We don't live by the things we see. The things we see are temporary, the things we don't see are eternal.
The walk of faith is an incredibly difficult one. As humans, we are so much used to believing in the things we see that it is very difficult to believe in the things we cannot see. Having faith in God isn't an easy thing.
What do you do when you are in a serious trouble and you are praying to God for help but the more you pray, the worse your situation gets? Can you still walk in faith and believe in God? You are sick, you have prayed to God to heal you, you have faith yet your situation is getting worse. Can you still have faith?
Our walk with God isn't dependent on what we see, how we feel or what we hear. We don't live by sight. If God allowed us to pass through certain situations, it is because He wants to test our faith. We don't need to give up on our faith when times are hard. God will never fail those who believe in Him.
Let your faith be bigger than your fear. You might still be feeling sick after praying for several weeks, don't lose hope, God will heal you. He is the God who makes impossible situations possible. If you are going through a difficult moment now, don't lose faith in God, He will deliver you. Trust in God, He will never disappoint you. Stay blessed!
