TOPIC: FINISH THE RACE

SCRIPTURE: 1 TIMOTHY 4:7

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

Welcome to BWC. The Christian race is the only race in which we don't compete with anyone else but ourselves. The goal is to finish the race that God has set before us. The challenge is to stay faithful to God till the end.

A race is not won by those who start well and give up along the way. A race is won by those maintain the discipline and finish well. Very often, many of us start well with God but we relax along the way and fall off. To finish the race God has set before us, we need to be consistent in our devotion to God.

So many of us find ourselves living under past glories. For some of us, few years ago, we were absolutely on fire for God. We had the zeal and passion to serve God but that passion has died down.

Unfortunately, we have allowed the issues of this world to take our attention away from focusing on our race. Worst still, we have also allowed our human relationships to distract us from God.

It is high time we woke up and stay focused on the race God has set before us. Your past success with God doesn't matter if your present relationship with God is bad. It is not about how serious you were with God some time ago, the question is; are you still serious with God now?

We need to hold on to the faith till the end. We are in difficult times, the challenges are many. But God is there to give us strength to endure all temptations. If you have fallen off your race, it is time to get back to God. You must wake up and continue the race that God has set before you. You must be faithful till the end. Stay blessed!

Lord, please help me stay strong and finish the race you have set before me. Amen.
