TOPIC: REWARDS OF FAITHFULNESS
TEXTS: Proverbs 28:20, Psalm 37:28, Revelation 2:10.
Welcome to BWC. Over the past two editions, we have been looking at Faithfulness. We looked at what faithfulness is and how we can be faithful to God. Today, we look at the rewards God promised those who stay faithful to Him.
√ BLESSINGS ( Proverbs 28:20)
"A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished." If we stay faithful to God, we will be blessed. That is what God promised. Examples abound in the scriptures of men/women who were blessed richly by God because they stayed faithful to Him.
Abraham, Job, Isaac, Solomon and Mary are just a few of people who were blessed by God for being faithful. One of the surest ways of attracting the blessings of God is by being faithful to Him. Do you want God to bless you with wealth? Be faithful to Him. Do you want a good marriage? Be faithful to God. Whatever God has called you to do, just be faithful and He will bless you. If you can be faithful in small things, you will get bigger things from God.
√ GOD WON'T FORSAKE YOU
"For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones." Psalm 37:28A. One of the rewards we will get if we are faithful to God is that He will never forsake us in times of trouble. God never abandons His own. No matter how difficult the situation will be, God will always come through for you if you are faithful to Him. God is a faithful God.
√ THE CROWN OF LIFE.(Revelation 2:10)
This is perhaps the highest reward for faithfulness. "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."
Brethren, these are some of the rewards God promised us if we remain faithful to Him. Let us therefore renew our commitment to our Lord and remain faithful to Him till the end. Stay blessed!
