BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: FAITHFULNESS II
SCRIPTURE: LUKE 9:62
"But Jesus said to him, 'No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
Welcome to BWC. In our previous Breakfast, we looked at what faithfulness is. As Christians, we are called to walk faithfully with God and never look back. Today, we will look at how we can be faithful to God in four areas of our lives.
FAITHFULNESS IN WORSHIP
We are created to worship God. We are to present our lives to God as a living sacrifice. Living for God is our total duty as Christians. We need to be faithful in doing this. We need to forsake the pleasures of this world and live for God.
FAITHFULNESS IN SOUL WINNING
I consider soul winning as the top most duty all Christians owe Heaven. We are saved to save others. Jesus Christ Himself commanded us to preach the Gospel and to win souls for Him. This is something we need to be faithful in. Soul winning is God's heartbeat.
FAITHFULNESS IN OUR FINANCE
All our riches come from God. It is God who gives us the power to make wealth. We need to cheerfully give to the work of God. We need to use our resources to support the work of God. We also need to be faithful in giving our tithe at church. We need to give willingly not by compulsion.
FAITHFULNESS IN LOVE
God is love. We need to walk in love. Our attitude towards everyone has to be of love. We are to love God first, and then love our neighbors. Our neighbors include everybody not just our friends. We need to show the love of God to all. We need to be kind and generous to the less privileged. All these we need to do faithfully.
Brethren, these are just some areas in our lives where we need to be faithful to our God. When we are faithful, there are benefits we attract from God. In our next BWC, we will look at the fruits of faithfulness. Stay blessed!
