BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: THE FRUITS OF PAIN
SCRIPTURE: HEBREWS 12:11
"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it".
No human being likes to go through pain nor suffering. We often get angry with God when we go through pain. The truth however is that, if you are a Christian, God will never allow you to go through any pain without a purpose. God isn't a wicked God who enjoys seeing His children suffer. There is a reason God allows us to go through pains sometimes.
In the verse 7 of Hebrews 12, the Bible encourages us to endure hardship. We need to understand that not all hardships we pass through are from Satan. Some of the troubles you are passing through as a Christian are actually ordained by God, not to destroy you but to achieve a specific purpose in your life.
There is a purpose for every trial we face. God loves us and He won't allow us to suffer for nothing. When we are going through some pains and struggles, we need to find out God's divine purpose for our pains. Some of the pains you are going through right now are meant to make you stronger or bring you closer to God.
Before Jesus died, He went through pains and rejection. For humans, it appeared God had abandoned His Son. But there was a reason for His agony. There was a higher purpose. To achieve that purpose, He had to endure the pains. A woman in labour goes through pains but there is a purpose for her pains.
Child of God, don't be discouraged when you go through pains and struggles. Pains produces fruits. Instead of being angry with God, find out the reason for your struggles. God has a plan. Endure the pain and trust God to achieve His purpose in your life. May God give us the strength to endure. Stay blessed!
PRAYER LINE:
Father, thank you for every situation I find myself in now. I know you have a plan for my life. Please give me the strength to endure the hardships whilst you perfect your plans in my life. Amen.
