TOPIC: THE NEW COVENANT

SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 26:28 "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins".

Welcome to BWC, in our previous edition, we looked at the Old Covenant between God and the Israelites and how God had promised to give them a New Covenant. Today, we will look at this New Covenant.

When our Lord died and shed His Blood on the Cross, He paid the full price for the sins of humanity and established an eternal New Covenant. Let's look at some of the important features of this Covenant.

√ The New Covenant is between God and all those who believe in Jesus not just the Jews.

√ This New Covenant is based on the Blood of Christ unlike the Old Covenant which involved the blood of animals.

√ In the New Covenant, Jesus is our eternal High Priest who sacrificed Himself for us once and for all.

√ In the New Covenant, we have direct access to the presence of God. This was indicated when the veil of the temple divided into two when Jesus died.

√ The New Covenant depicts the Love and Grace of God towards humanity.

√ As participants of the New Covenant, we are guaranteed eternal life in Heaven.

If you have accepted Jesus and you are living for Him, you are a full beneficiary of this New Covenant. Your sins were forgiven on the Cross, Heaven is your Home. *If you haven't given your life to Jesus yet, please do so now so that you will also benefit from this New Covenant*. Stay blessed.
