BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: WHO IS JESUS CHRIST? PART 7
SCRIPTURE: COLOSSIANS 3:4
"When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory".
Welcome to BWC, today, we continue answering the question "Who is Jesus Christ".
JESUS CHRIST IS OUR LIFE
In our scripture today, Paul described Jesus Christ as our life. According to Jesus, he came into this world to give us Life(John 10:10). Does that mean before Jesus came we were dead? YES! We were dead in our sins. Not physical death but spiritual death. Jesus Christ died so that we may have life. Without Jesus, there is no life.
Jesus being our life is in two ways: our life in this world and our eternal life. Christianity isn't all about dying and going to Heaven. Christianity is also about living a victorious life in this world. However, we can only live that kind of life if we have Jesus Christ. When we accept Jesus, He gives us His Life which is superior to our natural life. That's the Life that enables us to live as Christians.
Death isn't the end of life. Death just gives us entry into eternity. When we die, we are faced with two options, either Heaven or Hell. When we accept Jesus Christ and live for Him, He gives us eternal life which guarantees that we will continue living in Heaven after death. All those who reject Jesus, have no eternal life. Jesus is our eternal Life. Without Jesus Christ there is no way we will enter into Heaven.
Friends, our earthly life is very short. Without the eternal life of Jesus Christ, we won't make it to Heaven. Let us give our lives to Jesus and accept His eternal Life so that when we die, we won't perish in hell fire. May God continue to give us Grace to live for Him. Stay blessed!
Prayer line:
Lord, thank you for being my Life. I am glad I belong to you. Please help me to live for you. Amen.
