TOPIC: WHO IS JESUS CHRIST? (PART 4)

SCRIPTURE: EPHESIANS 2:14

"For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation".

Over the past three editions of BWC, we have searched the scriptures to answer the question "Who is Jesus Christ"? Today, we continue with that.

JESUS CHRIST IS OUR PEACE

Jesus as our peace is in two folds: first, He is our peace that reconciles us back to God and He is our peace in the midst of troubles.

Man had constant fellowship with God until Adam and Eve sinned. Since then, we got separated from our Maker. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross for us, He broke the middle wall of separation and reconciled us back to God. In doing this, He became our Peace. Jesus, through His death, made peace between man and God. Without Jesus, we would never have become children of God.

Secondly, Jesus is also our peace in the midst of all the troubles around us. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33).” This world is full of troubles but Jesus is our Peace. We are not alone.

No matter what we go through, we are assured that our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ will be with us and deliver us. Hallelujah! Stay blessed!

Lord, thank you for being my Peace. Thank you for reconciling me back to God. I am glad I belong to you. Amen.
