TOPIC: WHO IS JESUS CHRIST? (PART 2)

SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 1:21

"She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."

In our previous BWC we started looking at who Jesus Christ is by learning that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Today, we continue with our series.

JESUS, OUR SAVIOR

If Jesus Christ is the Son of God, then why did He come into this world? The answer to this question is revealed in our scripture for today. Jesus was born on fulfil one mission: to save the world from sin.

Due to the disobedience of Adam and Eve, every human being born by the seed of Adam was born in sin. We were all candidates of hell fire. But God, moved by His endless love for us sent His Son to die for us to wipe away the sins of Adam and Eve. Jesus Christ was born to suffer and die in our place.

No other human being could die for our sins except the Son of God because He was sinless. When Jesus died on the Cross, all our sins were forgiven. We were no longer candidates of hell. However, for us to enjoy the benefits of His sacrifice, we need to accept the sacrifice. We need to give our lives to Jesus Christ and live for Him. If we don't do this, we will still perish in Hell(John 3:16).

If you are reading this now and you haven't yet accepted Christ and given your life to Him, it is not too late. I encourage you to make that decision now. Tomorrow may be too late. No matter how big your sins are God loves you and He will forgive you if you will confess and repent. God loves you.

Lord, thank you for sending your Son to die for my sins. Please help me to live for Jesus Christ. Amen
