Is God Always On Time?

IS GOD ALWAYS ON TIME?

Many of us grew up hearing sentences like "God's time is the best", "God is always on time" and "God is never late" from men of God and Christian motivational speakers. But so many things happen in our lives that seem to go contrary to these popular sayings.

For a lady who is 35years and has been praying for a husband for ten years, telling her God's time is the best won't make much sense to her. For a young man who is battling a chronic illness in pain and has been praying for so long for healing, he won't understand "God's time is the best". Do we really believe God is always on time? Or do we just say it to comfort ourselves? How true is the statement "God's time is the best"?

There are so many times in our lives that we feel God isn't always on time. It is very easy to say 'God's time is the best' when things seem fine with you. Have you ever wanted something from God desperately but didn't get it only to hear your Pastor say "God's time is the best"?

So what exactly is God's time? And why does it always seem to be different from our time? The concept of "God's time" lies in the sovereignty of God. The omnisciency of God makes it possible for God to know everything.

As human beings, we are limited in our conception of time. We don't know everything. We can't see beyond the present. So we judge situations based on our limited vision. Our timings are always limited by our limited vision. But God isn't limited by anything. God knows what we don't know.

Our timing is never the timing of God. The fact that we feel something should happen now for us doesn't mean it is the right time for it. So when it isn't happening, we feel God isn't listening to us. But God has a time and a season for everything. His timing isn't like ours. His ways are above our own.

The truth is God has never been late before. It is impossible for the Almighty God to be late. He does everything at His own good time. The problem is that we don't know His timing so we feel He is always late. In His time, God does everything beautifully. Our relationship with God is a relationship of faith. We might not understand God's timing but we need to have faith that God is never late.
