TOPIC: WHAT DOES GOD WANT? (Part 2)

In our last BWC, we looked at some of the things our God wants from us. Today, we will continue with that.

GOD WANTS US TO LIVE IN LOVE

Mark 12:31 "The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

As children of God, one of the things God wants from us is for us to love our neighbors. 'Neighbors' here to refers basically to everyone we meet. We don't need to discriminate. We must show love to everyone including those who hate us. This is what makes us children of God.

GOD WANTS US TO FORGIVE

Colosians 3:13. "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you"

If we want to do what God wants, then we need to learn to forgive those who offend us. Keeping bitterness and anger will destroy us. We can't expect God to always forgive us our sins if we can't forgive our fellow human beings when they offend us. God wants us to always forgive freely.

GOD WANTS US TO GIVE

2 Corinthians 9:7 "Everyone should give whatever they have decided in their heart. They shouldn’t give with hesitation or because of pressure. God loves a cheerful giver".

Giving is an act of love. We need to freely give to people who are in need. selfishness and greediness are not of God. If we claim we are children of God, then we need to learn to be kind to one another especially to those who need our help.

Prayer line:

Lord, please help me to walk in love, to forgive those who offend me and to be kind to everyone I meet. Amen.
