TOPIC: HOW TO KNOW THE WILL OF GOD

SCRIPTURE: JOHN 6:38

"For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me."

In our previous BWC, we looked at what the Will of God is and why we should surrender to His Will. Today, let us look at how to know the Will of God.

GIVE UP YOUR WILL

In the beginning, God created humans with a free will. When sin entered into this world, our human Will became sinful. We can no longer depend on our Will to serve God. The human Will, under the influence of sin will always choose to disobey God. To know, what God's Will is for your life, you must first surrender your human Will to God and be prepared to accept His sovereign Will.

SPEND TIME WITH GOD

After you surrender your human will to God, you now have to spend quality time alone in the presence of God in daily scripture reading and prayers. The Will of God for our lives is in the Word of God. One surest way to know the Will of God is to know His Word. Spend time with God, don't be in hurry to close your Bible and sleep. When we spend time with God, He reveals His Will to us. *You will never get to know God's Will for your life if you are not ready to spend time with Him in prayer and Bible studies.

Brethren, for us to do God's Will, we first need to know His Will. To do this, we need to surrender our human Will and then spend time with God daily. In our next BWC, we will look at how we can surrender to God's sovereign Will. Stay blessed!
