SCRIPTURE: JOHN 10:27

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

Our Christian walk is a walk with Jesus. We are called to show the light of He called us out of darkness. We cannot do anything without Jesus Christ. For us to survive the afflictions and temptations of this world, we need to walk with Jesus daily.So how do we walk with Jesus?

ESTABLISH A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

It is very possible to be very active in church, be very respected in the church but still not have a personal relationship with our saviour. You cannot walk with someone you don't have any personal relationship with. First of all, have you accepted Christ into your heart? Who is Jesus to you? How much do you know about Jesus? How committed are you to serving the Lord, Jesus Christ? Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus?

DIE TO YOUR FLESH EVERYDAY

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me" (Mathew 16:24). We simply cannot walk with Christ if we don't deny ourselves of all carnal pleasures everyday. The Bible encourages us to walk in the spirit not in the flesh. Our flesh will always desire sin, but we need to die to these desires everyday and live with Christ.

READ THE BIBLE AND PRAY

The Holy Bible contains God's word to us. Throughout the four Gospels, Jesus Christ taught us how to live. We cannot claim to be followers of Jesus Christ if we don't spend time to read His words and live according to them. We need to also spend time in prayer before God. Prayer strengthens us and increases our faith in God. To walk with Jesus, we need to spend enough time in prayer. Stay blessed!

Lord, thank you for giving me the privilege to walk with you. Please help me to walk with you daily and serve you till I die.
