TOPIC: THE GOD OF THE WILDERNESS

SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 41: 13

"For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you"

This is the concluding part of our series "Surviving the wilderness". Today, we take a look at the God of the wilderness. It is very easy not to notice the presence of God when you are a going through a very difficult moment in life. All of a sudden, God seems so silent and absent. The wilderness can be a very lonely place to be. Even your family and friends will desert you. But God isn't only found on the mountain, He is also the God of the valleys.

One phrase that has been used repeatedly in the Bible is "fear not". God is always asking His children not to be scared because He knows we will go through situations that will shake us, situations that will scare us. But even in the wilderness, when nothing positive seems to be happening, God is right there with us making a way for us.

In Isaiah 43, he promised to be with us when we are walking through the waters and when we pass through the fire. God is not man. When God promised something, He fulfills it. God doesn't abandon us simply because we are going through the wilderness. Even when the Israelites consistently disobeyed Him in the wilderness, He still healed their sicknesses and provided manna for them.

Child of God, what are you going through today? Are you passing through a very dangerous wilderness? Are you disappointed and broken? Are you on the verge of giving up? Then this message is for you: God says He is the God of the wilderness. He hasn't brought you this far to forsake you. He hasn't forgotten about you. God will deliver you, don't lose your faith, don't give up. All our help indeed comes from God. Stay blessed!

Lord, today, I pray for strength to endure, Grace to survive. Please deliver me in your mercies and Help me to have faith in you. Amen
