BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: NEW YEAR, OLD GOD

SCRIPTURE: MALACHI 3:6

"For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."

Welcome to our first Breakfast with Christ for the year 2018. We thank God for bringing us this far. Today, we start a new year, this year has never been before. It is a brand new package God has blessed us with.

The year might have changed, but God hasn't changed. It is a new year but same old God. In the book of Malachi, God told the Israelites that He is Lord, He change not. The goodness of our Lord remains the same forever.

The writer of the book of Hebrews tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. The Lord we serve doesn't change. The same God that brought us this far will be the same God that will send us through 2018. God's love and care for us are constant. If God provided for us last year, He will surely provide for us this year too.

We don't know what 2018 has for us but we know we serve the God who doesn't change, His Grace and Mercy that saw us through the previous years will send us through this year too no matter what may come our way.

Brethren, on this first day of the year, God is asking us to put our trust in Him. A lot of things might be changing around us but the goodness of our Lord remains the same forever. So let's face this year with the belief that the unchangeable God will see us through just as He saw us through the previous years. God bless you.

Prayer line:

Lord, I thank you for bringing me this far. I pray that may the same Grace that saw me through the previous years will see me through this year too. Amen
