Breakfast With Christ - The Great I Am
BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: THE GREAT I AM
SCRIPTURE: EXODUS 3:14
"And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."
Our scripture for today is an excerpt from an encounter Moses had with God. God had called Moses and sent him on a mission. Moses then asked God what he would tell the Israelites if they ask him the name of the one who sent him. I am sure Moses was expecting a more direct answer. But God's answer to Moses was a Revelation.
God, by declaring Himself to be "I AM that I AM" wasn't giving His name to Moses, He was actually revealing His Divine infinite Nature to him. So God was telling Moses He is the Self Existing One, the Unchangeable God, He exists independent of time, He depends only on Himself. The I Am that I AM also means I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE.
In essence, God was saying to Moses, tell the Israelites that I will be anything they would want me to be. If they need food, I AM their provider, if they need healing, I AM their healer, if they need protection, I AM their protector, if they are in a battle, I AM their Army leader. I AM everything to them. God had just given Moses a blank cheque for the Israelites. Whatever they will need at any particular time, He will be that thing to them.
Today, God is telling us too that He is our Great I AM. What do you want from God? God has given you a blank cheque signed with the Blood of Christ, whatever you need God to be to you today, just write it on the cheque. What do you need? The Great I AM will do it for you. All you need to do is to ask in faith. There is nothing you can ask from God today that is bigger than Him. We serve the All Sufficient God, He has no limits.

Lord, I recognize You are the Great I AM, I ask that you will be my everything. Amen.
