Breakfast With Christ - The Grace Factor (Part 2)

BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST

TOPIC: THE GRACE FACTOR (PART 2)

SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 12:9

''But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

In our previous BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST, we looked at how the Grace of God saved us from our sinful nature. Today, we will look at how the Grace of God helps us when we are weak.

In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul narrated how he had to deal with some 'thorn in the flesh'. This torn in the flesh made him weak and he prayed three times for God to take it away but God didn't. Instead He told Paul that His Grace was sufficient for him. Now, that was interesting considering who Paul was.

There are so many of us in similar situations, we are having our own 'thorn in the flesh', a situation that is weighing us down. This situation could be a chronic illness, heavy financial burden, joblessness or broken relationship. We have prayed several times for God to help us but there seems to be no answer from Heaven. It is so easy to get frustrated in such a situation. You might even feel like giving up on your faith, worst still you might even begin to doubt the existence of God altogether.

But hold on, God hears us when we pray, He perfectly understands our weaknesses.

Just as He told Paul some years ago, He is telling us today that His Grace is sufficient for us, for His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. When we are weak, that's when we realize the strength of God in us.

The Grace of God has a special way of covering up our weaknesses. We cannot always depend on our human strength but we can always depend on God's Grace to give us strength. God's Grace doesn't take away our weaknesses, God's Grace supplies us with divine strength to see us through the challenging moments in life.

Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to boldly approach God's throne Of Grace to receive Mercy and Grace in times of need.

So next time you feel weak, frustrated and overwhelmed by life's challenges, please pray and the Lord of Grace will be your strength. Be blessed and remain strong in the Lord.

PRAYER LINE

Father, I know I am weak, but in my weakness I find strength in you. Thank you for your Grace that gives me strength when I am weak. Amen
