BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST
TOPIC: THE GRACE FACTOR Pt 1
SCRIPTURE: TITUS 2:11
"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all men"
One of the most amazing things about God is His Grace. What is Grace? Grace is unmerited favour. Grace is God showing His mercy on a group of people who don't deserve it. God's relationship with humanity is a relationship of Grace. Without the Grace of God, humanity would have perished long ago.
Our opening scripture makes us understand the purpose of God's Grace. The purpose of Grace is to offer us salvation. Do we deserve it? NO! That is why it is unmerited.
In Ephesians 2:8-9, Paul in writing to the believers at Ephesus, told us that our salvation is wholly dependent on the Grace of God not on our works. Meaning no human being can be saved on the basis of his or her good works. What keeps humanity from perishing in Hell is the Grace factor.
The Grace of God is the vehicle that carries man through life. When sin demands justice for our souls, the Grace of God speaks on our behalf. Jesus Christ is the physical expression of God's Grace on humanity. When the punishment of sin was too heavy for us to bear, God showed His Grace by sending Jesus to die on the Cross for us.
The Grace of God has transformed us from being slaves of sin to being Priests of God. God's Grace has reunited us back to God and has given us access to the throne of God.
In our next BREAKFAST WITH CHRIST, we will look at how the Grace of God covers our weaknesses.
God bless you.
