TOPIC: SOUL WINNING:THE HEARTBEAT OF GOD
SCRIPTURE : Proverbs 11:30
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise".
Throughout the Bible, after the fall of man in the garden of Eden, God's greatest desire was to reunite humanity to Himself. God's grand plan of salvation was achieved when His son, Jesus Christ came to the earth to die for the sins of humanity. Jesus' death and resurrection completed the first phase of the Salvation plan.
Whilst on Earth, Jesus preached about the kingdom of God and the need for man to be reunited to God. Jesus' main work on earth was to win souls. After he ascended into Heaven, He left the duty of winning souls to the disciples and by extension to all of us who believe in Him.
Brethren, soul winning is the duty of every believer not only a selected few. The Great Commission Jesus gave in Matthew 28:19-20 was to all of us not only Pastors or Evangelists. We are all called to bear fruits for God and one surest way to bear fruits is to win souls for God. Our opening scripture tells us that he who wins souls is wise.
Today, I want to urge you to make it a major priority in your life to win souls for Christ because winning souls is the heartbeat of God. Winning souls is the main business of the kingdom of God, if you are part of this kingdom, then it has to be your main business too.
